Sonic the Hedgehog is famous for his speed but he also has quite the ego. This ego can easily be taken advantage of by villains such as Dr. Robotnik. This is demonstrated in episode seven of SatAM: “Sonic Racer” which debuted on October 23, 1993 and was written by Len Janson. The episode begins with Bunnie […]
Introduction: When you hear “Sonic Fighting Game,” what first comes to your mind? Do you think Sonic the Fighters? Maybe Sonic Smackdown? Or perhaps Sonic Forces: Speed Battle? When I hear it, I think of Sonic Battle for the Gameboy Advance (GBA). The game was released on Jan. 5, 2004, and received mixed reviews thanks […]
The Forbidden Zone is a dangerous part of Robotropolis that is home to the evil wizard Lazar who has been sleeping there for hundreds of years. Thanks to the Guardian, no one has dared traverse that part of Robotropolis… Until now. We will now explore this mysterious land in episode six of SatAM: Super Sonic. […]
Introduction: Boring. If there is one word I had to describe Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, it would be “boring.” How did this game become so dull despite the announcement trailer looking so cool? Well, it all began on May 17, 2013, when Sega made a deal with Nintendo to have three of their Sonic […]
The world of Mobius is home to many mysteries. Some of these mysteries are known as the Seven Wonders of Mobius. These “wonders” are hidden around Mobius and their locations are told only in the secret scrolls of Maga. Let’s observe the scrolls’ first appearance in episode five of SatAM, Sonic and the Secret Rin- whoops, wrong Sonic. “Sonic and the Secret Scrolls” which aired on Oct. 9, 1993, and was written by Janis Diamond.
The Archie comics and SatAM introduced many new characters like Rotor, Sally, Bunnie, etc. But one character I want to focus on is one who also showed up in Sonic Underground, Sonic’s Uncle Chuck. He was mentioned in the very first episode of SatAM as someone who Sonic held dearly but was roboticized along with his dog Muttski. We see more of Sonic’s dearly loved uncle in the next episode of SatAM that we are going to discuss, “Ultra Sonic” written by David Villaire. The episode was aired on Oct. 2, 1993.
As the leader of the Freedom Fighters, Sally Acorn is one of the core members of the organization. But what would happen if she was replaced by a robot? This idea has been explored in episode three of SatAM, “Sonic and Sally.” The episode aired on Sept. 25, 1993, and was written by Pat Allee and Ben Hurst.
After discussing the pilot episode for the SatAM series, it’s time we look at the first episode that aired for the series: “Sonic Boom” written by Len Janson which first aired on Sept. 18, 1993.
War….War never changes. This was the tone Sonic Forces was going for with its attempt to have a darker tone with Sonic and company fighting against Dr. Eggman. But Forces wasn’t the only Sonic related story to have a darker theme with Dr. Eggman already conquering the world. We must go back to 1993 where DIC Entertainment, a film and tv show company, started airing two Sonic shows around the same month.
Director Jeff Fowler just announced the news on Twitter. Fowler says the team is taking time “to make Sonic just right.” The new release date is February 14, 2020. That’s a little more than three months after the original release date. It also means that Sonic will no longer hit theaters during the lucrative holiday […]
